We pay a premium for Canon EOS and Nikon AF lenses and Digital SLR bodies.

Due to the increased demand for digital cameras and subsequent softening of the film camera
market, we have become very particular about the cameras and equipment we purchase.
While we are still purchasing traditional equipment, primarily collectors pieces, mechanical SLRs,
newer high quality AF SLRs, medium and large format equipment, we cannot purchase everything
we are being offered. As regards lenses, as a general rule, we are mainly interested in purchasing
AF lenses for major brand SLR cameras, especially professional and special purpose lenses,
as well as interesting or rare manual lenses.

Sell Your Camera Equipment

Please carefully read and follow the instructions below to ensure that I respond to your request. 

To sell your equipment...

1. Determine the make and model of each item you are selling.  Provide cosmetic and
   functional condition to the best of your knowledge. 
   
2. Consider how much you expect to receive for your equipment.  A clear idea of what you
   would like to net from your gear will help us both quickly determine if Camera Traders is the
   best avenue for selling your equipment.         
   
3. Consider how you would like to sell your equipment; consignment or outright purchase. 
   Consignment will net you more in the long-run, but outright purchase is faster and virtually
   hassle-free.  My consignment rate is 25% of the selling price.  I accept for consignment
   saleable items over $100 value.  All consigned items are listed on my website as well as
   offered locally through my retail location.

5. I will review your equipment and contact your via telephone or email ASAP.
   
6. If we are both in agreement, I will ask that you carefully package and ship your equipment
   hereto Camera Traders.  
   
7. When it arrives I will examine and test the equipment and confirm it is in the condition
   described.  I will then immediately send you a cheque for the agreed amount or list it on
   consignment for worldwide web exposure.  If after examining the equipment I am not
   satisfied with the condition as originally described and agreed to, I will contact you to
   discuss the discrepancy.  If we further cannot come to an understanding I will repackage
   and return your equipment via tracked, insured Canada Post or courier service at my cost.
