B&W film developing DIY kit
For anyone who wants to try their hand at developing their own black and white film, we've put together a simple kit that has everything you need to get started. It includes:
- A Paterson 2-reel tank
- A changing bag
1L Cinestill DF96 Monobath
- One roll of film in 120 or 35mm (135/24) size.
- Instructions (text & video)
There's no measuring or portioning, you don't need a darkroom, and the only things not included are scissors and running water. Just follow the easy directions and you'll be looking at your very own self-developed negatives before you know it.
And the equipment in this kit isn't fun-size or scaled back: it's the real deal. The Paterson tank includes two reels and accommodates 35mm, 127, and 120 film; the changing bag is our full-sized 27x30" model. The Cinestill DF96 is a monobath solution that develops and fixes film in one step.
If you or anyone you know has been curious about film developing, this is just about the easiest way to get started.
