FOR USED ITEMS: Unless otherwise noted, our used inventory is sold with a ninety-day warranty. If your equipment malfunctions during this period, we will repair, replace, or refund your purchase, at our discretion. Please note that we do not provide partial refunds, negotiate pricing, or negotiate payment for third-party repairs after sale. If we determine that equipment is defective and should be returned for a refund, we will provide prepaid shipping, if applicable, so that the equipment can be returned to us at no cost to you. This warranty does not cover equipment which malfunctions due to misuse or accident, and we reserve the right to refuse warranty coverage if we determine that the equipment shows signs of abnormal wear or damage. All used equipment is fully checked and/or serviced before being offered for sale. All major camera functions are verified by machine for accuracy and consistency. Unless otherwise specified in the full equipment description, light meters and shutter speeds are guaranteed accurate to original manufacturers specifications. Similarly, unless specified otherwise, lenses are clean and clear, apertures operate smoothly, and focus is accurate. Please be sure to read our full descriptions and ask any condition questions you might have before purchase: we can not accept a product for warranty or return based upon a pre-disclosed operating condition. This warranty does not cover batteries, lamps, or other consumable components. 

FOR NEW ITEMS: New items carry their manufacturer's warranties, which vary from product to product. Please check with the product's manufacturer for warranty terms and limitations of coverage. While we can help guide the warranty process, all claims on new product must be handled through the manufacturer.

We believe that Camera Traders is one of the best places around to buy used camera equipment. We try to buy the most interesting equipment available, test it thoroughly, and sell it with professional care and advice.

We offer a 2-day return period on all warrantied used items. Our 2-day return policy is intended to account for the occasional situation when the equipment you buy doesn't suit your needs, and we feel that it's important to have a policy in place to ensure that you're not stuck with equipment that you can't use.

Items returned within 2 business days will be accepted for a full refund. Items must be returned in the same condition as purchased, with all originally included packaging and accessories. Duties and shipping fees, if any, are non-refundable. Please note this very important exception: for product quality reasons, film, paper, and chemistry products can not be returned for refund or exchange unless they are defective in materials or manufacture.

New items will not be accepted for return, refund or credit unless they are in their original, unopened packaging.

Special order items must be pre-paid and can not be returned for refund, exchange, or credit.

We encourage you to try out items in-store and ask as many questions as you'd like to ensure that the equipment you buy is right for you. We have experience with a wide variety of gear, and we won't push merchandise that we feel is inappropriate for your uses.

Our inventory is mostly unique items, so we have tried to put in place a fair hold policy that balances convenience and availability.

We can hold an item in-store until the end of the next business day, free of charge, if you need some time to consider your options. We will not "re-hold" the same items after the initial hold.

If you're trading in equipment, we can hold items for the duration of our evaluation period. Please note that we are unable to hold items in anticipation of a trade; that is to say, we must have your trade item in-store in order to hold any equipment.

Orders delivered within British Columbia will be charged GST and PST (total 12%)

Orders shipped within Canada but outside of British Columbia are subject to your province's HST or GST rate.

International Orders are not subject to sales tax, but may be subject to import fees or duties which are beyond our control. Check with your country's import authority if you are not sure what to expect.
